What You Will Learn

The program progresses through three subjects and three phases of one continuous infrastructure project, rather than three disconnected courses. One Program. Three Progressive Subjects. One Complete Infrastructure Project.

Subject 1 – Civil 3D Foundations & Infrastructure Modeling with AI-Assisted Workflows

This subject develops the foundational Autodesk Civil 3D skills required for municipal infrastructure and land development projects, with continuous integration of AI-assisted workflows using Microsoft Copilot, Autodesk AI capabilities, and InfraWorks conceptual modeling.

Subject 2 – Advanced Civil 3D BIM Design & Digital Collaboration with AI-Assisted Workflows

Building directly on the preliminary infrastructure model developed in Subject 1, students expand the project into a complete BIM-ready municipal infrastructure design using advanced Civil 3D workflows integrated with Autodesk InfraWorks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Navisworks, and AI-assisted productivity tools.

Subject 3 – Digital Delivery, QA/QC & Professional Presentation with AI-Assisted Workflows

In this final subject, students complete the digital delivery stage of the continuous municipal infrastructure project by producing professional drawing packages, performing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), validating project quantities, preparing technical documentation, and presenting the completed infrastructure design.

Build an Enterprise Project

Don't Just Learn the Software. Build the Project. Throughout all three subjects, you progressively develop a realistic Ontario Municipal Collector Road Rehabilitation & Subdivision Servicing Project.

Throughout the project, you'll gain hands-on experience with:

  • Machine Learning Models
  • Final roadway corridor model
  • Storm sewer design
  • Watermain network
  • InfraWorks conceptual model
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud project package
  • Navisworks coordination report
  • QA/QC documentation

Admission Requirements:

1. Civil Engineering Technology diploma, degree, or equivalent industry experience.

2. Architectural Technology or Construction Engineering background (recommended).

3. Familiarity with AutoCAD or engineering CAD concepts.

No prior Civil 3D experience is required for standard admission.
