Admission Application Procedures

After you decide which program you will take at Metro College of Technology, it is time to start your application procedures. Following the steps below will make your application easy.

After you decide which program you will take at Metro College of Technology, please follow the admission guidelines below to start your application procedure.

Step 1 Complete the International Student Application form.

Method 1 - Complete and fill out an application form and submit it via email

  1. Download the PDF Admission Application Form.
  2. Open the form, fill it out using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  3. Sign and date the form.
  4. Save the form.
  5. Note: If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader in your computer, you can download it at https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Method 2 - Complete and fill out a hard copy of the application form then submit it via email

  1. Download the PDF Admission Application Form.
  2. Open the form, print it, fill it out and date it with a pen in blue or black ink or typewriter, and then sign it.
  3. Scan the form and rename it as "Admission Application Form" and save it.

Step 2 Pay the Admission Application Fee

The admission application fee is CND350. This fee is not refundable in any circumstance after it is paid.

The easy and secure way for you to pay the application fee is to use PayPal. Follow the steps below:

  1. Visit https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/send-money-online
  2. Follow the steps on the screen to complete the payment process.
  3. Check your email for a receipt from PayPal and save it.

Step 3 Submit Your Admission Application Form and Other Documents

  1. Write an email using the email address international@metroc.ca and add "Admission Application Form and Documents" in the Subject line.
  2. Attach your Admission Application Form.
  3. Attach a copy of the result of your valid English proficiency test (IELTS or TOEFL).
  4. Attach a copy of your translated and notarized English transcript for the highest level of your education.
  5. Attach your passport-sized photo.
  6. Attach your PayPal receipt of the CND350 application fee.
  7. Click the Submit button or Send button to send your email.
  8. On the second day, check your email to make sure the college confirm receipt of your application form and the documents.

Step 4 Acceptance or Refusal of Your Admission Application

You will receive a response from Metro College of Technology within 15 days.

If you are accepted, a payment plan will be emailed to you. The payment plan details when payments are due and in what amount – the first 50% payment is due 8 weeks before your program start date, and the second 50% payment is due 8 weeks after your program start date. Please print, sign and return the payment plan via email to international@metroc.ca

Step 5 Letter of Acceptance

If you are not accepted, you will receive a letter of refusal through email.

If you are accepted, the Admission Office at Metro College of Technology will send you a Letter of Acceptance once we have received your signed payment plan via email.

Step 6 Make the First Payment

Make the first payment using PayPal according to the signed payment plan. You will receive the receipt for the payment and then you will email the college your PayPal receipt.

Step 7 Apply for Student Visa

  1. Visit the website of the Canadian Consulate, Embassy or High Commission in your country for a complete list of documents for student visa application.
  2. Get all the documents ready with the tuition receipt from the college.
  3. Fill out the online application and upload all required documents, including the tuition receipt.
  4. Check the information you have entered in the application to make sure there is no error.
  5. Click “Submit” button to submit the application.
  6. Log in to your visa application account and monitor the process of your student visa application frequently until you get a decision or notice for further action from the Canadian Consulate, Embassy or High Commission.
  7. Inform the college of the result of your visa application and the date you will arrive in Canada if your student visa application is approved.
