A. Refund Policy
I. STUDY PERMIT REFUSAL REFUND
- A full tuition fee refund (minus the $500 administrative fee) will be granted if Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) does not issue the study permit. To obtain a full tuition fee refund, the student must submit the following documents within sixty (60) calendars days of the issue date of the original refusal letter from IRCC:
- a copy of the original letter of refusal received from IRCC;
- a copy of the official MCT letter of acceptance;
- a copy of the original receipt of tuition payment; and
- a completed and signed Refund Request Form from the applicant
No refund will be issued if the student fails to submit any of the above within sixty (60) days from the issue date of the original refusal letter from IRCC.
II. PARTIAL REFUND
If a student withdraws prior to the commencement of the program as prescribed in the MCT official Letter of Acceptance, the paid fee minus the international student fee and the $500 administration fee will be refunded to the student. The following documents are required:
- a copy of the official MCT letter of acceptance;
- a copy of the original receipt of tuition payment; and
- a completed and signed refund request form from the applicant.
If a student withdraws on the day of or after the commencement of the program as prescribed in the official MCT letter of acceptance, the paid fee minus the international student fee, the $500 administration fee, the prorated tuition, the total lab fee, and the international student fee based on the numbers of instruction hours elapsed after the program start day, will be refunded to the student. The following documents are required:
- a copy of the official MCT letter of acceptance;
- a copy of the original receipt of tuition payment; and
- a completed and signed refund request form
III. NO REFUND
There will be NO refund of the tuition fee in the following circumstances:
- If the student withdraws after 50% of course hours pass from the commencement date of the program as outlined in the official MCT letter of acceptance.
- If the student is found in violation of MCT’s policies and procedures.
- The lab and software license fee is not refundable
- If false or fraudulent information was provided, including providing false medical information or non-disclosure of medical conditions or prescribed medications, in the Student Application Form.
Please also note:
- An administration Fee of $500.00 CAD will be deducted from each refund request.
- Refund will only be issued to the student directly.
- The MCT shall not be held liable for losses or expenses as a result of MCT being unable to provide education owing to labour disputes or other causes beyond control.
B. Method of Payment
We encourage all international students to pay their fees using the following payment method:

Making the Second Payment in Your Payment Plan and Paying the Textbook Fee
While you are in Toronto, you can use one of the following methods to pay your remaining fee and the textbook fee:
- Debit Card
- E-transfer
- Bank Transfer
- Credit Card
- Personal check
- Certified check or bank draft or money order
Please note that
- when paying a fee using a credit card, 3% of the payment amount as a credit card processing fee applies.
- when paying a fee using a personal check, CDN$50 will be charged as administration fee for an USF check.
