Metro College of Technology has simplified our international application process as we offer ongoing start dates for all of our programs. Once you have met all of the entrance requirements and have been granted acceptance from Metro College, you will need to apply for a Study Permit through Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
A Study Permit grants you legal permission to reside in Canada for the duration of your studies. To be issued a Study Permit you will need to follow the procedures outlined by the Canadian government office in your country of residence.

Our Admission process is easy. You can just follow the steps outlined below
Step 1: Choose a Program of Interest We would recommend that you visit our website at www.metroc.ca and decide what program you are interested in pursuing. Once you have decided on the program you can than contact us for more information.
Step 2: Fill Out Your Contact Information on our contact form found here or Call 416-585-9880 to speak to an Admissions Representative
Step 3: Admission Requirements Once you have filled out the Contact Information form, your Education Consultant will be in touch
with you to go over the entrance requirements which may include:
- You must be at least 18 years old to attend Metro College. Government ID will be needed to confirm age.
- English Proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL/CAEL) is required if you live in a country where English is not the first language. (IELTS/TOEFL is required if you live in a country where English is not the first language. Provide us with a proof of English skills by providing us with your TOEFL score. Minimum score required would be 547 on the written, or 210 on the computer based version, TOEFL 78 on internet-based version or an IELTS with a minimum score of 5.5 in all areas.
- If you already have a Post Secondary degree you can provide that for admission. If your University degree is being used for Admission it will need to be evaluated by an educational assessment service such as WES (World Education Service, or ICAS (International Credential Assessment Service) Their links are noted below:
Step 4: Payment Plan and Deposit Payment Once the entrance requirements have been met, your Education Consultant will draft a payment plan for you and you will be required to make a 25% deposit of the full program cost. All payments must be made in Canadian Dollars. Included in the 25% is a non-refundable $500.00 administration fee if the application is cancelled or the visa is denied. A refusal letter from Immigration will be required to process your refund.
Step 5: Letter of Acceptance Once your payment has been remitted, we will release to you a Letter of Acceptance that you will need to apply for your study VISA.
Step 6: Apply For Your Study Visa Metro College of Technology is authorized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to accept and enroll international students!

Please note that students who graduate from a diploma program at Metro College of Technology or any other private career colleges, are currently not eligible to receive a Post Graduate Work Permit.
These admissions requirements apply to all students, who are not a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Protected Person.
