What accounting software will I learn?
Students receive hands-on training with software included in the approved curriculum, which may include QuickBooks, Sage 50 (Simply Accounting), Sage ERP 300 (ACCPAC), SAP FI, Microsoft Excel, and other business applications.
What jobs can graduates pursue?
Graduates may pursue entry-level roles such as Accounting Clerk, Payroll Administrator, Payroll Clerk, Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant, Financial Assistant, Accounts Payable Clerk or Accounts Receivable Clerk.
Is financial assistance available?
Government Financial Assistance, including OSAP, and Better Jobs Ontario may be available to eligible students. Visitors should review Metro’s dedicated funding pages for current information.
Do I need to live in Toronto?
No. You can study from anywhere Online, in Ontario.
Do I need previous accounting experience?
No. The program begins with foundational accounting, computer, and workplace concepts before progressing to more advanced accounting, payroll, tax, and software applications.
Does Metro College provide career support?
Yes. Career support may include resume preparation, interview preparation, job-search guidance, assistance in presenting accounting and software skills, and co-op placement support where applicable.
