Get your Civil, Structural & Mechanical engineering training at Metro College!

Metro College of Technology Design and technology programs in mechanical, civil and structural engineering:

Engineering and Technology Programs are practical and intensive courses designed specifically to meet ongoing job demands. These programs are geared towards students interested in programs of mechanical engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, transportation and traffic engineering.

Mechanical Engineering Design and Technology program offers a comprehensive learning opportunity for most of the components in today’s mechanical engineering practice. Courses include mechanical design principles, drafting and design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, and CATIA, and FEA and CFD using ANSYS. The final mechanical design project will build students’ ability to complete a mechanical design project from start to end. This program will expose students to 3D printing technology as well.

Civil Engineering Design and Technology program offers a comprehensive learning opportunity for most of the components in today’s road/highway engineering practice. Courses include road design analysis, calculations and highway design principles using state of the art design software programs such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, InRoads, Oracle Primavera, MS Project, and Timberline. The final civil design project will build students’ ability to complete a civil design project from start to end. Students are also exposed to 3D printing technology.

Structural Engineering Design and Technology program offer students comprehensive and applied training in structural engineering practice. Courses include structural analysis, calculations and concrete/steel/wood structural design principles using state of the art design software programs such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit Structure, STAAD Pro, Primavera and MS Project. The final structural design project will build students’ ability to complete a structural design project from start to end.
