Physiotherapy Assistant Course in Toronto
The Physiotherapy Assistant course offered by Metro College of Technology, located in Toronto, will teach prospective healthcare students how to provide high quality, client-centered care for clients with physical and emotion problems, under the supervision of a physiotherapist.
Students of the Physiotherapy Assistant program will receive in-depth knowledge in anatomy and physiology, the interrelationships between human body systems, kinesiology, psychology, communication and computer skills, and professional terminology. Students will also learn how to deal with clients of different ages, functional ability, as well as basic medical conditions/disorders.

Upon completion of the Physiotherapy Assistant program, students will have developed practical skills in program planning and implementing, conducting individual and group exercises, evaluating feedback, using and maintaining equipment, and preventing infectious diseases.

Ontario Second Career and student financial assistance services may be available to those who are qualified and in search of a college Physiotherapy Assistant diploma. Metro College of Technology is a WSIB approved training provider and WSIB sponsorship is available to those who are receiving WSIB compensation and qualify. In addition, Metro College of Technology in Toronto offers tuition installment payment plans to students who are not able to pay the entire tuition fee upfront.
