The following are the biographies of instructors in the Faculty of Business and Management.
Jose de la Rua, B. Sc., MBA/Finance
Mr. de la Rua is an experienced instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience in the subjects of Accounting and Business Administration, including Microsoft and Accounting software programs.
He has been involved in the Career College sector for most of those years teaching to a mature, diverse and multicultural population. He speaks three languages and has advanced communication skills.
Above all, he enjoys the satisfaction of helping students learn and move onto successful careers.
Salahuddin Khan, MBA
Mr. Khan has over 20 years of experience as successful educator with strong academic and industry experience in Canadian, American, Bangladeshi universities, colleges and financial institutions. He is an expert level user of different accounting software and Microsoft applications. Mr. Khan is CPA, PCP, LLQP and MBA and successful teaching experience in accounting discipline in the US and Canada. Fundamental of Accounting, Financial Accounting, Canadian Payroll, QuickBooks, Sage 50 Accounting, Sage ERP 300 are among many courses he has been teaching. In addition, Mr. Khan worked in the many companies and held important positions. He received many awards in both teaching and business practice. Mr. Khan has published many articles in different accounting journals and seminars.
Vas Mahsen, B. Eng.
Mr. Mahsen brings over 18 years of expertise in ERP systems (SAP Financials, PeopleSoft Financials, Geac SmartStream & Passport Supply Chain) into the classroom. In addition he has more than 5 years of work experience in supply chain. He has developed close relationship with and served many clients in various sectors such as Government, Manufacturing, Software and Utilities. He has held many different roles such as, subject matter expert, functional analyst, lead developer, technical analyst, and product developer. Mr. Mahsen has solid knowledge of financial processes, accounting practices and manufacturing process work flows. Students will benefit from his diversified expertise in information system analysis.
Dushyant Pilania, B. Eng., MBA
Mr. Pilania has seven years of work experience implementing SAP ERP solutions for many organizations from 14 different countries, both at client, and off-shore locations, in Canada, India & Scotland. He is a problem-solver with a combination of functional & technical prowess, project management and leadership skills. He has accomplished end-to-end implementations, roll outs, SAP up-gradation/migration, mergers and acquisitions and support projects as a SAP FI/CO, SAP PS/IM and SAP JVA consultant/lead.
